The short version: the game is free and has no real money in it. Play fair online, keep your names clean, and keep your recovery code private. The game is in Early Access, so things will change. If something goes wrong, tell me: support@tahurgame.com.

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Wasi Mahin ("I", "me"), who makes Tahúr ("the game"). They cover the game on tahurgame.com, in other browsers and apps it's published in, its online features (accounts, cloud save, online duels, leaderboards) and this website. By playing you agree to them. The privacy policy explains what data the game uses and is part of these terms.

2. Who can play

You need to be at least 13 to play. If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you. Where the law in your country sets a higher age for using online services on your own, that age applies to the online features.

3. Your account

• The game works without an account. If you turn on cloud save or play online, the game makes an account for you that isn't tied to your name.
• You can add email sign-in or a passkey, and you can see your recovery code in Settings. Anyone with your recovery code or a device signed in to your account can use it, so keep them private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• One account per person for ranked play. Don't share, sell or buy accounts.
• You can delete your account at any time: Settings → Account → Delete account, or at tahurgame.com/delete-account.

4. No real money

Tahúr is a card game, not gambling. Coins, items, powerups, card marks, cosmetics, ratings and everything else in the game are part of the game only: they have no money value, can't be cashed out, and can't be sold, traded or transferred outside the game. Nothing in the browser version is for sale. Mystery boxes are bought only with coins won in the game, never with money, and the game shows the odds of what's inside before you open one. If the app versions offer optional purchases, those are handled by the app store under its own terms, and nothing they sell will be random. Coins are never sold.

5. Fair play and conduct

Online play only works if it's fair. You agree not to:

• cheat, or use modified versions of the game, edited saves, scripts, bots or other tools to get an advantage online;
• exploit bugs instead of reporting them (reports are welcome: report a bug);
• manipulate ratings or leaderboards, for example by losing on purpose, playing against your own second account, or arranging results;
• attack, overload, probe or try to break into the game's servers, or collect data from them by automated means;
• use names that are offensive, hateful, sexual or that pretend to be someone else, or use the game to harass anyone;
• break the law while using the game.

If you do, I may remove a name, reset or remove a rating or leaderboard place, suspend online features for your account, or, for serious or repeated cases, delete the account. I'll use judgement and act in proportion. If you think I got it wrong, email support@tahurgame.com and I'll look again.

6. Early Access

The game is still being made. Chapters, rules, balance, features and prices can change, and some things may break. I'll always try to keep your progress, and I'll say so in the game well in advance if a change ever means a reset. Back up your progress with cloud save or a save code (Settings → Data).

7. What you send me

Your in-game name and anything you send through feedback stay yours. By sending feedback or ideas you let me use them to improve the game, without owing you anything for it; please don't send anything confidential. Your in-game name is shown to the people you play online and, if you play ranked, on the leaderboard.

8. The game itself

The game, its story, characters, art, music, code and the Tahúr name and logo belong to Wasi Mahin. I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play it for your own entertainment. You may not copy, resell or republish the game, or use its art or music outside of it, except as allowed below or by law.

Videos and streams are welcome. You may stream, record, and share videos and screenshots of yourself playing, including in monetised videos and streams. A link to tahurgame.com is appreciated. Logos and art for coverage are in the press kit; clips and ideas for streams are on the creators page.

The game uses third-party fonts, icons and open-source software under their own licences; they're listed at tahurgame.com/licenses.

9. Availability and changes

I'll do my best to keep the game and its online features running, but I can't promise they'll always be available or free of errors. I may change or stop online features (for example to fix a security problem); single player keeps working offline on your device. You can stop playing at any time.

10. Warranties and liability

The game is free and is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, I don't give warranties about it and I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost progress beyond restoring what I reasonably can. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, I'll post the new version here with a new date, and say so in the game for important changes. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using the online features and delete your account.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep those protections and can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Please talk to me first: most problems are quicker to fix by email.

13. Reporting a player or content

To report an offensive name, cheating, or anything illegal in the game, email support@tahurgame.com with what you saw and when. I'll review it and act as described in section 5.
